Peels

A peel removes dull, dry skin cells from the skin’s surface to reveal smoother, more radiant skin underneath. Certain peels have been formulated to help with certain skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation and breakouts. We offer several different peels in our office that help with specific skin conditions or less invasive peels that help cell turnover for a brighter complexion. 

What Pre-Treatment is Required? 

In some cases, patients will need to prep skin with a lightning cream before we will administer a peel treatment. Patients interested in peels should always come in for a consultation so we can best assess you and your skin care needs. You will experience peeling on average for 5-10 days after treatment. Patients must stop all exfoliants and retinoids one week prior to treatment, no exceptions.  

What Peels Do We Offer? 

• ZO Stimulator Peel: Our glow and go peel. Have a date night or an event that you want glowing skin for? This peel offers luminous results with no peeling or downtime. It helps treat melasma, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dull skin, and acne. It gives your skin a deep exfoliation leaving you with an amazing glow – with no downtime!
• SkinCeuticals TCA Peel: Helps to significantly improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, laxity, and stubborn discoloration. Ideal for all skin types and most skin tones. It really fits the needs of most patients with its minimal downtime.
• SkinMedica Vitalize Peel: This powerful yet non-damaging peel can take years off aging. This is the perfect peel for mild to moderate skin conditions. Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while addressing skin tone unevenness that can be caused by acne scarring or other pigmentary changes. You will see noticeable results after one peel: but significant results after 3-6 peels. 
• ZO 3-Step Peel: is an in-office peel treatment followed by an at home treatment the following day to continue the peel process. It will treat melasma, sun damage, fine lines, dull skin, acne, post-inflammatory pigment, and uneven texture. The ZO 3-Step Peel utilizes a blend of exfoliants, retinol and multi-action agents to help improve skin health and treat many signs of aging. This peel needs to have proper pretreatment with your aesthetician, typically 4-6 weeks prior to receiving this peel. There is a shedding process of approximately 5-10 days post-peel. We recommend you decide to stay home for a minimum of 3 days post peel.  

What To Expect Post-Peel? 

The post-peel downtime will be dependent on what type of peel is administered. While some peels will require downtime of 5-10 days of peeling and redness, others will leave you ready for date night immediately after. It is important that your aesthetician is highly trained and able to give you the proper post-peel care instructions. It is important to keep your face out of the sun and always wear proper sunscreen.
