What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction procedure that is cleared by the FDA. The CoolSculpting treatment makes use of controlled cooling to get rid of stubborn fat that does not respond to diet and exercise. It can be used on the abdomen, back, love handles and inner/outer thighs. Depending on the patient’s body type, it may also be used on the arms. It is a safe and effective procedure with lasting results, making patients look great from all angles.

The ideal candidate for CoolSculpting in Fresno is an individual who is within 20 to 30 pounds of his or her ideal body weight. How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting makes use of cold energy to destroy fat cells permanently. The machine pulls your fat bulge into a device with two cooling plates. A strong vacuum holds the fat. The cooling plates are then activated to a specific temperature in order to freeze fat cells until they reach the point of crystallization. Once the fat cells are crystallized, they are naturally eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system.

How Long Does A CoolSculpting Treatment Take?

The treatment takes anywhere between 35 minutes to one hour per area. CoolSculpting is not an invasive procedure which means patients can read magazines, listen to music, or work on their laptops during the treatment. There is no downtime after a CoolSculpting procedure. Patients can usually return to their regular activities immediately after treatment. In cases of side effects such as bruising, soreness, and temporary numbness, they are usually mild and do not require the patient to take medications or take some time off from work and other activities.

How Soon After My First Treatment Will I See Results?

You will see a reduction of fat after a single visit. Because it takes quite some time for the body to dispose of fat cells naturally, full results may be seen after a few months. You can also lose more fat cells with additional appointments. Since fat cells eliminated during the procedure no longer return, you can expect long-lasting results as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Are CoolSculpting Results Permanent?
