What is ThermiTight?
ThermiTight is a minimally invasive, non-surgical method to tighten loose skin and deeper tissues.
What are the targeted areas for ThermiTight?
It is commonly used in the neck and lower face to lift the jowls. Other areas include the arms, abdomen, thighs and knees.
Who is a candidate for ThermiTight?
Ideal candidates for the ThermiTight are patients who want to significantly tighten the lower face and/or neck without undergoing a large procedure or have small fat deposits around their mid-section and require further tightening in the treatment area.
How long does the procedure take?
The ThermiTight treatment typically takes less than 1 – 3 hours depending on the area being treated.
Are there any incisions during treatment?
Yes. The treatment is performed through small incisions. The ThermiTight probe is inserted through these areas and threaded underneath the skin delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy. Sutures are not necessary. For this reason, it is often referred to injectable RF.
Does it hurt?
Because ThermiTight uses local anesthetic some patients experience minimal discomfort during the numbing process. After the area is numbed, however, there is little-to-no discomfort. Patients may feel pressure or warmth, but not pain.
Is there downtime?
Patients can experience some swelling and bruising lasting about 1 week. A compression garment is required for 24-48 hours after procedure. Patients can return to normal activities 24 hours after procedure.
How long before I see results?
Most patients start to see results in 2 – 3 months after the procedure but the results will continue over the next several months. In about 9-12 months most of the results are seen, but they can continue to improve for about one year after the procedure. ThermiTight causes permanent tightening to the areas being treated. While, the results are permanent, the aging process is not stopped.
