Dr. Rohini Shantharam is a board-certified dermatologist. Raised in Fresno, she left the Central Valley to complete her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Student of the Year. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia and completed an internal medicine internship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. Dr. Shantharam stayed in New York to complete her dermatology training at Northwell Health (Hofstra School of Medicine) where she served as chief resident of her training program and founder of the cosmetic clinic.
After her training, Dr. Shantharam spent time working in private practice in Manhattan before moving to Rhode Island where she became assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Brown University. She enjoyed her roles in teaching, advising and mentoring dermatology residents and medical students.
After returning to the Central Valley in 2019 she joined the team at Behr Laser and Skin Care Center and completed a prestigious fellowship in cosmetic and laser surgery. Dr. Shantharam has earned scholarships through the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology to work and train with experts in the field of cosmetic dermatology. She has authored book chapters and lectured at local and national conferences.
Dr. Shantharam specializes in injectables, neurotoxin, tumescent liposuction, thread lifts, and laser technologies. Dr. Shantharam believes in using a combination approach to achieve natural flawless results.
