What is Fraxel?

Fraxel laser is a safe, non-invasive treatment that can resurface damaged skin. Fraxel® DUAL 1550/1927 resurfacing treatments effectively target both the surface and deeper layers of the skin which help to remove years from your appearance and regain a more youthful look.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments

There are two different Fraxel Lasers used in our office for Laser Skin Resurfacing.
1550: penetrates deep into the skin layers, specifically targeting concerns such as wrinkles and acne scars.
1927: Effectively targets tone, texture and other more superficial signs of aging.
Dr. Behr and the Registered Nurses will evaluate your skin and tailor your treatment to your desired outcome.

Who performs the treatment?

The registered nurses perform the treatment under the supervision of Dr. Behr. Our nurses are trained in cosmetic lasers and have received special training through Fraxel.

How many laser skin treatments are needed?

The treatments range depending on your skin type and what you want to target. Dr. Behr and the registered nurses will be able to evaluate each patient to determine an effective treatment plan.

Recovery after laser Skin Resurfacing

Depending on the level of the treatment, patients may experience redness or swelling immediately after the procedure. The skin will bronze over the next couple of days and then flake and exfoliate, revealing a fresh and smooth appearance.
